Aligned with the mission of Vashon Health Care District, I aim to enhance access and quality of health care for Vashon Island residents. My focus will be on coordinating service providers and developing new services based on survey feedback and public comments.

With over 40 years in health care management experience, I’ve held leadership positions with health systems in Michigan and Washington, and I’m recently retired from Group Health as a multisite administrator. I've also served on health care boards for government and professional organizations.

I’m running for Health Care District Commissioner position 3 because I care deeply about our community’s access to high-quality, affordable healthcare. With a background in Public Health and years of experience in health education and advocacy, I’m ready to help navigate the challenges and opportunities facing Vashon’s access to healthcare.

I moved to Vashon as a teenager in 1993, so I understand firsthand the challenges residents face in accessing reliable healthcare. Barriers like limited providers, transportation obstacles, and the need for sustainable services make the work of the District especially vital. I want to ensure all residents, especially our most vulnerable, have access to consistent, high-quality care close to home. I believe in practical, community-driven solutions that meet our island’s unique needs and help us build a healthier future together.
