Gary Coy currently serves as a commissioner for Water District No. 20 and previously held the same position with Water District No. 85 for eight years. In both roles, he has built a strong reputation as an experienced business leader who is approachable, knowledgeable, and responsive to the needs of the community.

Gary wants District ratepayers to know that he: Is non-partisan and committed to representing every district member with fairness and transparency; Prioritizes maintaining a high-quality, efficient water system while safeguarding ratepayers’ funds through responsible financial stewardship; Brings up-to-date expertise in water system security and is dedicated to protecting the district’s water supply against vandalism and potential threats.

A longtime Burien resident, Gary returned to his hometown after military service and remains actively involved in the community. He is respected by state leaders for his proven ability to advocate effectively on behalf of those he serves
