GENERAL 2025
King County Fire Protection District No. 43
Commissioner Position No. 1
I bring a unique combination of business and emergency services experience to this position. Professionally, I have spent more than 35 years in the information technology industry, supporting a wide range of business functions. In addition to my business background, I served as a volunteer firefighter for 12 years and as an EMT/Paramedic for 15 years. This blend of experience gives me a well-rounded and practical understanding of the fire district's needs.
I have lived in Westen Washington for the past nine years and have been a resident of Maple Valley and its fire district for the last six years. In June 2024, I was appointed to the Fire Commissioner’s Board to fill a vacated position following two years of active attendance at board meetings as a community member.
I am more than willing to speak with any district residents. You can reach me at the following email address MMulich@MapleValleyFire.org
I am running to be the voice for the staff and constituents in the Maple Valley Fire District # 43 from Hobart, Ravensdale to Maple Valley, Covington. I have received help from these paramedics. When you feel your worst and are in need of help, they show up. I would keep the services coming at a high level in fire and emergency needs. Managing large budgets which I have done in past professional work will keep the department response times down and your insurance rates low. Your commissioner needs to be ready to speak up for your needs and if necessary, testify in Olympia. A year ago, I headed up the KSD Levy which was in grave need of passing. After two failed attempts, it passed. I have served my community in various capacities for many years. I have been honored with Honorary Citizen of the Year of Covington
