As a mother of four sons, I've seen firsthand how each of them learned and grew. Excellent education develops cognitive, social, and emotional abilities, fosters critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a sense of responsibility. I aim to support Skykomish students, teachers, school staff, and families through sound decisions and policies on our local school board.

My children attended Riverview SD public schools, where I volunteered extensively. They participated in Riverview's multi-age program (Eagle Rock) and home-school through the ALE program at Sky Valley Education Center, Monroe, WA. I taught music and PE, served as Athletic Director at Hillside Academy (pre-K to 8th grade private STEM school in Duvall, WA), and currently volunteer as a youth mountain bike head coach through WA Student Cycling League. This varied experience brings a fresh perspective to our school board.

I have been a member of the Skykomish school board of directors for over 30 years, being a stable voice in an always- changing school landscape. I bring experience, leadership, and a knowledge of the inner workings of the school. I am passionate about the school and recognize how important it is to our town and the school district..

As a long-time resident of the Skykomish community where raised my three boys, I am proud all of them graduated from our local school. Besides being on the school board I have also been involved in the past as a volunteer to provide opportunities for our students to participate in various activities such as little league, the swim and ski programs.  

I am proud of our school district. If you re-elect me I will continue to be an advocate for the staff and students at our school and our community.
