I’m a wife, daughter, sister, and proud mother of two incredible young men—AJ (20) and Yousef (18), both products of Shoreline public schools. AJ is now a second-year student at the University of Washington, and Yousef, class of 2025, has also been admitted to UW.

Originally from Syria, I immigrated to the U.S. in 2012 with my sons, then just 5 and 7 years old. Shoreline quickly became our home, thanks to a welcoming and compassionate community. I began volunteering in classrooms, learning the education system while supporting students and families. From 2013 to 2019, I worked as Office Manager at Echo Lake Elementary. Today, I work at the Washington Education Association, expanding professional learning for educators across the state.

Now I’m running for the Shoreline School Board. I bring experience in education, leadership, and community service—and a deep belief in schools as spaces of belonging, partnership, and possibility.
