Serving on the school board has been an opportunity to work alongside families, educators, students, and fellow board members to build a stronger, more inclusive school system. Over the past four years, we’ve made meaningful progress—grounding our work in a shared strategic plan, improving transparency in budgeting, and strengthening community and parent partnerships. Together, we’ve expanded student voice at the board level, supported culturally responsive teaching materials, and worked to ensure every school is a safe, welcoming place for all learners. We’ve backed policy updates that invite more community input, improved use of data to guide decisions, and advocated for equity-centered state education policy. There’s still much ahead. I’ve learned a lot by listening closely—visiting schools, hearing from staff, students, and families, and understanding what each community needs to thrive. I’d be honored to earn your vote and keep building on this work together in a second term.
