Education: Information & Technology, SJSU
Occupation: Chieft Technical Officer
Statement:

Mercer Island used to lead Washington schools. Now, enrollment is down 20%, student safety has been ignored, and academics are slipping—while spending keeps rising. The same PTA, School Board, and District leadership call this a “good enough” district. That’s not good enough for my child—or yours.

I’m a Democrat, a parent, and an educator who exposed the cover-up of a multi-child predator while current school leadership chose to hide it from the community. I’ve also delivered real solutions, like launching free AI classes for Mercer Island students. I serve on the Open Space Conservancy Trust and have built bridges across political lines to unite parents, educators, and community leaders around what matters most: protecting kids and preparing them for the future.

Our kids deserve a district that’s safe, modern, and honest. I’m running to protect students, fix our finances, and restore excellence. I’d be honored to earn your vote.

Education: BA, Principia College; Masters of Business Administration, UCLA Anderson School of Management
Occupation: Full-time parent & volunteer; U.S. Navy veteran; former finance professional
Statement:

I bring a track record of working across differences to get things done for our students. I’ve served as PTA Council President, Island Park PTA President, sports coach, and perennial volunteer—delivering results through collaboration. As a U.S. Navy veteran with an MBA and history of work in finance, I bring disciplined, transparent leadership when our schools need it most.

I’ve shown up for Mercer Island: leading volunteers in initiatives including dyslexia support, e-bike safety, and cell phone policy. I’ve built consensus across parents, educators, and administrators, and I will continue to demand excellence, safety, and belonging for all learners.

Our schools deserve steady, principled leadership rooted in service, experience, and a deep commitment to every student. I’m ready to lead with accountability, humility, and results. Proudly endorsed by Mercer Island Education Association, Deputy Mayor Dave Rosenbaum, Former Mayor Benson Wong, Former School Board Directors, and City Council Members.
