Education: Masters of Social Work, University of Washington; BS Family/Community Services, Michigan State University
Occupation: social worker; currently at home parent/community volunteer
Statement:

Being of service to others is a core value of mine. I’ve lived this through my work as a foster parent and social worker, supporting some of our most vulnerable children and families. Serving as a school board director is a natural extension of my commitment to our community and a role that will benefit from my perspective and experience.

My family has lived on the Eastside for over two decades and I’m proud to educate my children in the Lake Washington School District.  We’ve participated in music programs and athletics, explored alternative high school pathways, and navigated the complex world of special education services. I’ve been an active member of the PTSA at many schools and was a substitute teacher during the pandemic. I currently volunteer with Pantry Packs and the Lunch Buddy mentor program.

Supporting and celebrating our diverse community of teachers, students and their families is essential for our district to thrive, adapt and evolve. As your school board director, I will work to ensure all voices are heard and that district policies reflect the varied needs of our community.

Endorsements: King County Democrats; 1st, 45th and 48th Legislative District Democrats, Washington Education Association-Political Action Committee

Education: Bachelor of Science, Merchandising, University of Arizona; Graduate, Interior Design, Harrington College of Design
Occupation: Leasing Agent, Former Paraeducator
Statement:

I am a parent, educator, and community member with over a decade as a paraeducator in the Bellevue school District.

I have seen first hand what matters most in education: academic excellence, classroom safety, and honest partnerships with families.  I support parental rights, curriculum transparency, and a focus on academic – not emotional or ideological- learning. I do not support gender transformation ideology in schools.  I will advocate for responsible budgeting, strong STEM and arts programs, teacher and student support, and improved mental health resources.

With experience supporting students, collaborating with parents, and working along side teachers, I am ready to serve our district’s children. I respectfully ask for your vote.
