Occupation: Fifteen year high school math/theater teacher; Union Executive Board
Statement:

Our students, educators and families deserve strong, experienced leadership that understands the challenges inside and outside the classroom. As a veteran teacher and dedicated mom, I bring firsthand knowledge of what our schools need to succeed. I’ve spent years advocating for students, supporting teachers, and working to strengthen public education.

I believe in safe schools, high academic standards, and smart, transparent budgeting because every student deserves their best education experience. As a local graduate, I have lived the reality of our education system, and I’m ready to lead with integrity, action, and heart. Let’s put our kids first and build a stronger future together.

Endorsed by the Kent Education Association, Northwest Progressive Women’s Caucus, Mayor Dana Ralph, all Kent City Council members, Covington Councilmember Jennifer Harjehausen, Congressman Adam Smith, Lands Commissioner Dave Upthegrove, Former Majority Leader Pat Sullivan, Speaker pro tem Chris Stearns, and the 11th, 33rd, 47th and King County Democrats. I’d be honored to bring my experience to the board and earn your vote.

Education: Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science, University of Washington Tacoma
Occupation: Mom; Software Engineer, PayPal
Statement:

I’m a Kent homeowner and mom of two. I’ve lived in Washington my entire life and established my family in Kent. I also volunteered teaching computer science in a Washington high school through the Microsoft TEALS program.

Our community has generously supported school levies, yet student outcomes remain poor. I will advocate for responsible budgeting that directs resources to students and teachers, and for policy to utilize those resources effectively. I am committed to restoring safety and structure to create schools that are conducive to learning.

I will champion a return to academic fundamentals, safe sex-separated spaces, and order and fairness in the classroom. I hold parents in high esteem and will work to restore their rightful role as the primary decision-makers in their children’s education. I respectfully ask for your vote to serve Kent schools.
