Education: Proud Bellevue School District Graduate; B.A. Washington University in St. Louis
Occupation: Treasurer, Bellevue PTSA Council; Accounting Manager
Statement:

Bellevue School District is in a financial crisis, facing state oversight due to low cash reserves and costs outpacing revenue. I’m running for school board to bring my 20+ years of expertise in accounting to achieve the highest financial standards and rebuild trust. I’m a proud Bellevue School District graduate, BSD parent, and PTSA officer. I believe in the transformative power of our public schools. Over the last decade I’ve partnered with educators, district leadership, and families to raise money to support students and strengthen our community.

On the School Board, I will work to increase academic excellence and close learning gaps. We must meet the unique needs of all our students through accessible tutoring, language support, and accommodations for students who learn in diverse ways. I’m deeply concerned with the high rates of depression, anxiety, and other mental health challenges that students are facing. I’ll work to create a strong policy on cell-phone use in classrooms and work to mitigate the impact of social media on our kids.

Together, we can overcome our current challenges and make Bellevue School District world-class.

Education: Bachelor’s in Economics, University of Valencia; Master’s in Marketing, ESIC University
Occupation: Former Language Access Lead, Bellevue School District; Former Budget Controller
Statement:

Seeing my sons graduate from Bellevue High was a moment of pride, hope, and possibility—a moment that should belong to every student in our district. As a current school board director, I work every day to ensure our schools offer the support, opportunities, and excellence students need to thrive. I lead with a purpose: I listen, I act, and I work tirelessly to build trust, transparency, and collaboration within the community.

I have led the way in breaking down language barriers, creating the district’s first-ever language access program for multilingual families—now a statewide model. As a former budget controller, I bring financial expertise that ensures every dollar spent advances student success, even in difficult times. Raising my children across four countries has shaped my priorities around equipping students with the global awareness and skills needed to succeed in today’s interconnected world.

With your vote, we can build a school system where every student excels, every teacher is empowered, and every family is engaged in shaping a brighter future.

Endorsements: Bellevue Education Association; King County, 41st & 48th District Democrats; State Senators Wellman & Slatter; State Reps. Thai, Zahn, Salahuddin; Bellevue Mayor Robinson and Councilmembers Malakoutian, Hamilton, Sumadiwirya; and many more.
