Occupation: Retired. Former Tukwila Finance Director, King County Housing Authority Manager
Statement:

Tukwila needs a councilmember who understands finance and budgeting - a leader who values our city's unique character and is committed to maintaining Tukwila’s livability, natural resources, and beauty. I am that leader.

As Tukwila’s former Finance Director and a fourth-generation resident, I possess extensive knowledge of city operations and the financial challenges we face. My experience with the King County Housing Authority provided me with valuable insights into housing issues and solutions. As an advocate for retaining Tukwila Fire, and through my roles as Tukwila Historical Society president, T-ball coach, PTA president and in other positions supporting children, I have consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to our community’s public safety, historical preservation, and youth.

The best decisions are made when multiple perspectives are shared by informed, caring stakeholders working collaboratively. Together, we can ensure that Tukwila remains a City of Opportunity, the Community of Choice. Let me represent you!

Occupation: Current Tukwila City Councilmember; immigration paralegal, Ryan Swanson & Cleveland
Statement:

It’s been a privilege serving Tukwila on the City Council for 16 years. I’ve delivered strong results—reducing crime along International Boulevard, protecting parks and green spaces, expanding affordable housing, and improving neighborhood safety.  Effective leadership matters—and I get things done for our community.

I believe Tukwila needs steady, experienced leadership to address our pressing issues—affordable housing, sustainable budgeting, public safety, and equitable economic development. I bring common sense and detailed knowledge of our city to every decision.  As a longtime paralegal and community advocate, I believe in Tukwila.  I will continue bringing compassion and a deep understanding to city government as we address Tukwila’s diverse needs.

I’m proudly endorsed by Mayor Thomas McLeod, Councilmembers Jovita McConnell and Hannah Hedrick, former Councilmembers De’Sean Quinn and Joe Duffie, Firefighters Local 1747, MLK Labor Council and leaders across our region because they trust my proven experience. I’d welcome your support again as well.
