Statement:

I'm running for re-election to further realize a responsible, inclusive, and prosperous Sammamish. With eight years on our Parks and Recreation Commission, as a Native Plant Steward, and as Sammamish's 2018 Volunteer of the Year, I’ve spent a decade translating our community's passions into meaningful policy.

Sustainability must be the core of our climate, transportation, and fiscal policies. To meet challenges like environmental conservation, multimodal connectivity, economic development, and equity, I’ve built regional relationships through committees including the Eastside Transportation Partnership and Kokanee Work Group.  I support a robust town center offering diverse, affordable housing while keeping our dollars in Sammamish; a healthy tree canopy cover goal, informing our stewardship and emergency management strategies; and a community center serving seniors, youth, and local nonprofits.  Our diversity is our strength.  Let’s be stronger together.

Endorsed by Washington Conservation Action, Sierra Club/WA, King County Democrats, & 5th, 41st, and 45th LD Democrats.

Statement:

Our community deserves a government that works. But the Council has lost focus — raising taxes, delaying infrastructure improvements, and falling short on emergency planning. I’ll strive for a government that delivers measurable progress, actively listens, and is responsive.

I’ll ask tough questions, set priorities, and reform the budget to create an inclusive, transparent government that works for you. I support promises made in the original Town Center vision to create homes for seniors and young families — not doubling to 4,000 units. I’ll guide balanced growth to expand sustainable housing, improve infrastructure, and increase transit options while protecting the environment and neighborhoods.

I’ll push to turn the vacant CWU building into a thriving community center. Imagine a place where neighbors connect across generations, cultural events enrich lives, small businesses grow, and a thrift shop supports vital services. Let’s build a vibrant Sammamish, together. I respectfully ask for your vote.
