GENERAL 2025
City of Renton
Council Position No. 1
As City Council President, I’m committed to common-sense thinking and driving fair, thoughtful decisions that improve quality of life in Renton. In my first term, I’ve gained valuable experience and insight into addressing key issues, advancing vital initiatives, and working with residents to meet real needs.
My priorities are accountability, safety, and opportunity. We must restore personal responsibility, reject a culture of excuse-making, and effectively address issues that threaten public safety. I’m also focused on expanding opportunities through inclusive economic growth, workforce development, and affordable access to education and skills training. Everyone in Renton should have the opportunity to build a better life for themselves and their family. With your vote, we will build a stronger, more vibrant Renton—one that serves as a model for the region.
Endorsements: Mayors Armondo Pavone and Denis Law, Renton Councilmembers Prince, Perez, and O’Halloran; King County Councilmember Reagan Dunn, Eastside Business Alliance, and more.

Renton is becoming unaffordable for workers. We have Seattle rents without the high paying jobs. I want to bring more high paying jobs to Renton. I helped lead Renton’s new minimum wage ballot initiative and support enforcement to help Renton residents make ends meet.
We pay taxes to Sound Transit, but that money is spent in Bellevue and elsewhere. I’ll fight for our share. We need more affordable housing and to help keep seniors in their homes. Let’s build social housing on vacant public land. Everyone who works hard deserves a safe place to live. The state legislature passed a law preventing rent gouging. I want to make sure it’s enforced. Above all we need to make our neighborhoods safe.
I am proud to be endorsed by Local Democrats, Boeing Machinists, Home Care workers, the King County Labor Council and elected leaders. However, the endorsement that matters most is yours.
