Statement:

As your Newcastle City Councilmember, I will prioritize public safety, responsible growth, and transparent, responsive government. I’m committed to preserving Newcastle’s natural beauty, safety, and small-town feel as our community grows, without raising taxes.

With 25+ years as a Program Manager at Microsoft, I bring strong skills in budgeting, project management, and collaborative problem-solving; tools our city needs to stay financially sound while delivering essential services. 20 years ago, my late husband and I chose Newcastle because we wanted to raise our family in a safe community with a neighborly atmosphere. I’ve raised my son here as our city grew into the vibrant, close-knit community we all value.

I believe there’s strength in diverse perspectives. I’m committed to listening, fostering respectful dialogue, and ensuring outcomes are guided by collective input. Let’s work together to ensure Newcastle remains a welcoming, thriving city for future generations. I respectfully ask for your vote.

Statement:

My wife and I planted roots here in 1995, raised our three children, and now enjoy being grandparents in this wonderful city. With 45 years of business and leadership experience—including two decades in management at Costco helping to pioneer the $4.99 rotisserie chicken and managing the $1.50 hot dog!—I’m running for Newcastle City Council to help build a more connected, inclusive, and safe community for all.

I support strong public safety, well-maintained streets, and thoughtful community growth. I will champion local businesses, cultural events, and initiatives that foster Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion—because every resident deserves to feel seen and heard. My experience as a Jewish man has shaped my understanding of inclusion and the importance of ensuring all voices are valued in our community.

Endorsed by KingCounty and 41st District Democrats, State Senator Wellman, Representatives Thai and Zahn, and Councilmembers Ariana Sherlock, Paul Charbonneau, and Sun Burford.
