Statement:

Do you want Newcastle to turn into Seattle?

Me neither.

My wonderful wife and I moved from Seattle to Newcastle to raise our family.  Just like you, we love that our friendly hometown is small, quiet, and so safe.  I’ve been honored to serve you as a councilmember & planning commissioner.  If you vote for me, I’ll keep protecting your quality of life, home values & family.  I’ll keep voting for you, not the outside groups who are endorsing others.  I have three priorities:  Safe Neighborhoods: Our police will preserve Newcastle’s peaceful character by protecting your neighborhood from crime and speeders.  Lower Taxes: I’ll keep cutting millions in wasteful spending, so your family can keep its money, not pay more taxes. Community Values: We’ll maintain our quiet parks, trails & fun events, and we’ll reject the never-ending construction and traffic. I’m proudly endorsed by the bipartisan Eastside Business Alliance.

Statement:

Newcastle has been a wonderful place to raise my two sons, and I want to ensure future generations have the same opportunity. Volunteering as President of Hazelwood PTSA, President of the Greater Newcastle Chamber of Commerce, and as a 10-year Planning Commissioner was an honor. Now I am ready to serve you on Council.

It's vital that Newcastle continues to be a place that is welcoming and safe. Parks, trails, streets and sidewalks must be adequately maintained. Fire and police protection must be ample, and growth should be planned with viability in mind. As I have for decades, I promise to work hard serving Newcastle to maintain our high quality of life and to be your voice on Council. Additionally, I'll bring my expertise of 20 years as a Financial Advisor.

Endorsements: KingCounty and 41st Democrats, Senator Wellman, Representatives Thai and Zahn, and Councilmembers Sherlock, Charbonneau, and Burford.
