As a 10-year Mercer Island resident, I’m honored to be endorsed by a majority of Councilmembers and a broad coalition of community leaders. Education: Ph.D, Master's, and Bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Occupation: Senior Systems Engineer, Advanced Concepts & Enterprise Engineering, Blue Origin
Statement:

I’m a community-focused former Planning Commissioner running to protect and preserve single‑family neighborhoods, parks, and green spaces. I’ll advocate for reliable infrastructure, safe routes to schools, e‑bike safety enforcement, strong police and emergency services, and robust programs for seniors and families. Mercer Island is where my wife and I are raising our three children.

I support affordable homeownership while preserving neighborhood character. Olympia now mandates fourplexes citywide. City Council, however, controls their size, design, and parking. I’ll prioritize a vibrant Town Center, protecting neighborhoods from oversized buildings and crowded streets. Our infrastructure is at its limits. Unchecked density jeopardizes safety and timely emergency response. With a Ph.D in aerospace engineering, I bring rigorous analysis and resident-focused leadership. I have no real-estate interests influencing my decisions on city planning and development.

Endorsements: Mayor Salim Nice, Councilmember Anderl, former councilmembers, commissioners, and many Islanders. I’m ready to serve with integrity and focus.
