GENERAL 2025
City of Maple Valley
Council Position No. 2
With over a decade teaching experience while simultaneously rising as a Fortune500 administrative manager, then excelling in marketing and sales, I've built a robust foundation of leadership. I later ran my own business, including as a real estate agent, and still serving as an educator.
Fluent in multiple languages, I'll ensure every resident's voice shapes our growing city. I'm running to deliver lower taxes, safer streets, and smart growth that drives economic vitality. My education background and my unique perspective as an immigrant to USA sharpen my ability to unite perspectives, vital for our expanding community.
From classrooms to corporate leadership, I've honed data-driven solutions and care. Maple Valley needs a council member who champions efficient budgets, robust safety, and dynamic development to attract jobs while enhancing quality of life. My experience equips me to lead our growth inclusively. Join me to build a united, prosperous Maple Valley!
“Always leave it better than you found it.” This guiding principle has shaped how I serve and engage our community. I’ve served on the Maple Valley City Council since 2022, currently chairing the Finance Committee and previously leading the Public Safety Oversight Committee. With 16 years on the School Board, service on the King County Emergency Management Action Committee and Civic Education Board, I bring proven leadership, depth, and dedication to public service.
My priorities include public safety, community engagement, transportation, protecting green spaces, and fostering economic development. I’m fiscally conservative, prioritizing balanced budgets that meet needs while avoiding waste and protecting residents from undue tax burdens. I will continue advocating for a safe, connected, and forward-looking Maple Valley.
As an immigrant who came to the United States as a teenager, I understand the value of opportunity and service. My record reflects trusted experience, follow-through, and commitment to our community.
