GENERAL 2025
City of Lake Forest Park
Council Position No. 5

My family moved to Lake Forest Park 5 years ago, drawn by its natural beauty and community spirit. Today, I’m running for City Council to offer a fresh perspective and proven problem solving skills to our leadership. I dedicated 15 years to building the transition to a sustainable future, and I believe Lake Forest Park’s future depends on getting our budget under control. We need to partner more effectively with the state and our neighboring communities. We can focus on using taxpayer dollars wisely while protecting the services we value most. I will work to make Lake Forest Park financially strong, so today’s families can thrive here and the next generation can afford to live, work, and build their own future.
Over the past four years, we've made real progress together: safer streets through reduced speed limits and stronger enforcement, a healthier environment with a new Climate Action Plan, new pathways to affordable housing with middle housing reforms, and improved financial stability through careful budgeting. These successes came from listening to your concerns and taking meaningful action.
But our work isn't finished. We must extend safer street improvements to the city borders, hire a climate action manager to strengthen our community's resilience to bomb cyclones and wildfire smoke, and complete the lakefront park to serve all residents.
As Council Chair and Deputy Mayor, I’ve helped guide tough conversations on middle housing and city finances to successful outcomes. I also serve as Council liaison to the Climate Action Committee. With your support, I will continue to lead with transparency, collaboration, and a strong commitment to serving your priorities and our city’s future.
