Statement:

Proven. Principled. Pragmatic. My vision will always be a vibrant LFP, preserving what makes us great while responsibly creating solutions for new challenges.  Solutions like at-cost locking mailboxes to prevent theft. Shepherding our budget to protect our parks, streams, and trees. Controlling costs despite historic inflation while ensuring safety isn’t compromised. Ensuring mental health co-responders can help when the police can’t.

Together, we will invest in safety, promote business opportunities, develop our vision for housing and infrastructure, and more.  Complex problems don’t have simple easy answers. Our current challenges require an honest and complete understanding of our budget and policies, and importantly, continued participation from our amazing and engaged community.

Proudly endorsed by KC Democrats, FairVote, The Urbanist, National Women’s Political Caucus, 14+ local elected officials including 4 current and former LFP councilmembers, Bothell, Shoreline, and Kenmore mayors and councilmembers, 1st LD representatives, and with Moms Demand Action distinction.

Statement:

I’m here to be your voice of fiscal responsibility, preserving nature and our city’s unique character. My civil service experience and 40-year background in finance will serve you as we fully fund Public Safety, support state housing mandates for ADU's & duplexes and re-establish vital Citizen Committees. I’ll work to support and realize the City’s better Sound Transit plan that saves 400 trees, protects homeowners, and minimizes commuter impact.

We should delay the proposed Tax Levy Lift, which is rushed, unvetted, and disapproved by 2/3rds of the Budget Sub-Committee. We do not need a levy with $10 million in reserves - 4.5X the requirement. I will restore the Citizens Budget Commission, bring back transparency, accountability, and prevent levy failures, like 2010 & 2021.

My family has called LFP home for generations; we love it here. Let’s not see the city commercially zoned, parking mandates removed, or apartment complexes in neighborhoods.
