I am running for reelection this year and asking for your vote.  

I am a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served as an intelligence analyst and interpreter prior to becoming a lawyer.

I worked as a trial lawyer for twenty years.  I served as president of the Washington State Bar Association from 2014-2016, and served on numerous other boards.  While a lawyer I served as a pro tem judge for almost nine years prior to becoming a full time judge.

I have been consistently rated as Well Qualified and Exceptionally Well Qualified for Judicial positions for the last nine years from numerous bar associations in the state of Washington. I served as a on the Washington State Supreme Court Minority & Justice Commission for the last ten years and lead one of its committees.  I am also an officer of the Washington State District & Municipal Court Judges Association. Outside of the law, I have been an oil painter for forty years and continue to volunteer as a teacher for both adults and youth. Thank you for voting, and I hope your will cast your vote for me.
