Issaquah welcomed me as a first-generation immigrant and small business owner. I feel it is time for me to give back. As your Planning Policy Commissioner, I have listened and worked to address what matters most to you: housing, public safety, mobility, trees and our environment, and support for small businesses. These challenges require real community input and collaboration.

Issaquah faces challenging financial times ahead. With a background in economics and real-world budgeting experience, I will work to ensure fiscal responsibility without burdening residents. I’m committed to protecting what makes Issaquah special while planning for a future that works for everyone.

I am grateful to have earned the trust and endorsements of local business and community leaders, including the Eastside Business Alliance, former Mayor Fred Butler, King County Democrats, 5th LD Democrats, and many others. I’d be honored to earn your vote and partnership in building a stronger Issaquah together.

For 12 years, my family has called Issaquah home. Like you, we love Issaquah for the great schools, community, and natural environment. And like you, I see how worsening traffic and increasing cost of living threaten what makes Issaquah special.

As a scientist, I have the problem-solving experience to deliver results. I will work to fix traffic with smarter transit and better intersections. I will work to create more affordable housing so our children can build a future here, our seniors can afford to stay, and our teachers and first responders can live where they serve. And, I will partner with our school district to identify land for schools in Central Issaquah, not our hillsides.
