Statement:

Community First. Unity Always. I’m running for City Council to bring a fresh, collaborative voice to Carnation’s leadership—one rooted in compassion, creativity, and connection. My priority is to bring our community together and build on what makes this beloved Valley great.

I have deep roots here with a kid raised in the local schools, a hiking group I founded, a church I’m committed to, and multigenerational family here in town. I understand our city’s current, most important issues because I’m invested here. As a mental health counselor and musician, I’ve spent my life helping people feel heard and supported. Along with mindful planning and environmental stewardship, my collaborative vision includes improving infrastructure & accessibility and supporting our local arts, farms, & small businesses.

Carnation is a gem. I want to bring people together and preserve our rural charm, vibrancy, and sense of community while extending a warm Valley welcome.

Statement:

I am honored to serve the people of Carnation, working daily to keep our city safe, vibrant, and financially strong. Over eight years on the City Council, I have fought for community needs while preserving our small-town character.

My proudest accomplishments was convincing the King County Growth Management Council to reduce Carnation’s housing target from 799 to 350 units, including those already under construction—protecting our quality of life through realistic growth planning.

I have been a leading voice in holding the City of Seattle accountable for restoring and maintaining the Tolt Dam early warning system, because public safety must remain our highest priority. As chair of the Finance & Operations Committee, I safeguarded essential services, directed COVID relief funds to local small businesses, and kept our budgets balanced. I championed the SR 203 roundabout, downtown renovation, utility bill discounts, and policies that protect housing while encouraging fair, thoughtful development.
