Statement:

While our city grows, I will support only balanced, responsible development. The City has allowed Developers to exploit loopholes and failed to enforce established agreements. This has resulted in delayed road, retail and park projects and diminished public services like schools, fire and EMS.

I oppose rezones to allow development equivalent to quadrupling the size of the existing Ten Trails without protective conditions. This would be unfair to residents in Ten Trails, and harmful to the whole city.   Let’s unite behind a better Quality of Life for Everyone in Black Diamond.

City leaders must be more practical and focus on priorities that matter to residents. Residents are financially stressed; we must not raise taxes and utility costs to subsidize development.  As your Council member I will focus on services like fire & EMS, safety, streets, parks, and utilities.  Let’s restore fiscal discipline, prioritize essential services, and thoughtfully plan our future.

Statement:

When I moved to Black Diamond over 30 years ago, I knew I had finally found my "Hometown".  I've raised my family, owned/operated a business and volunteered here and "You know what? I love this town!"

I've served as Chairman of Labor Days, 1999-2013; as a Director for the MVBD Chamber 2001-2008; founded and directed Miner's Day, 2003-2006; served on the Planning Commission, 2003-2007; editor for the Historical Society 2012 to present; the Council, 2008-2012, & 2021-present where I created the BDKind campaign and earned my AWC Certificate of Municipal Leadership.  And you know what? I still love this town!

I’ve worked to protect its character while securing a future of prosperity.  I like to bring people together to work for the better of all.  I'm a cheerleader, and I'm rooting for Black Diamond as I continue to work to keep our "Hometown" feel because I love this town!
