Addressing Challenges. The status quo isn’t working. Generalities and “legacy” talk won’t provide the experienced, responsible change we need. We have many wonderful new residents and long-time residents, and both are asking why promises haven’t been kept. We face worsening traffic, clear-cut forests, crowded schools, insufficient parks, water pollution, long waits for fire and EMS. The City must stand up for residents and fully enforce and strengthen our development standards.

Experience. My career managing projects working with local governments and developers, and 13 years on City Council plus years of civic involvement, give me the experience to lead. The City has been caught off-guard by predictable needs. I won’t let that happen again.

Commitments. As your mayor, I will reform City Hall and stop making important decisions behind closed doors, hold the line on taxes and rates to protect affordability, and give residents complete, clear information on planning and spending.

Black Diamond is a community shaped by change—whether it's the closing of a coal mine, the opening of new businesses, or a new housing development—our town has never stood still, that’s why we’ve never faded like some others have. I’m running for mayor because I believe in building on this legacy of resilience and growth.

As our town continues to evolve, we need leadership that supports thoughtful development—growth that benefits both longtime residents and new families. With the right planning, we can expand our infrastructure and services to meet future needs while preserving the small-town spirit that makes Black Diamond special.

Change, when managed responsibly, brings opportunity. It energizes our community, supports local businesses, and strengthens our tax base. Elect me as your mayor, and together we’ll grow smart, protect what makes our town unique, and build a future we’re all proud of.
