Statement:

As someone who grew up in Bellevue and have seen the changes here it's been a great joy.  Going through the Bellevue Essentials program in 2021 I learned a lot about how our city is run and the changes that could be made to be more efficient. However, I have also seen many of my favorite places close and never reopen due to rent costs and rising prices.Taxes are apart of the cost for these business which might put too much strain for companies to move here. Something has to be done about this.

I also want to help the police have everything they need for our safety and their security. Back when I took Bellevue Essentials the biggest thing that was discussed were body cameras. This allowed police to be believed in their interactions with those who break the law but also that no police officer would abuse their office. This is still a necessity.

JFK taught "don't ask what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." So here I am and I want to hear from you as well in what we can do to help each other.

Statement:

It’s an honor to serve on the Bellevue City Council– building on my commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and affordable community for all residents.I am a small business owner and single mom who came to this city in 1994 to pursue my education and dreams. We are a city with a local heart and global reach, and with your vote, we can continue to have great neighborhoods, excellent schools, and an innovative economy that attracts talent from around the world.

My vision for Bellevue is rooted in collaborative governance, affordable housing, economic inclusion, and community health. I know from creating a vibrant downtown cafe that we need spaces for listening, learning, and sharing ideas. I bring these values to Council where I will lead housing discussions that improve access and quality of life, support senior and children services, enhance mental health services, and expand green buildings and green space.

As your councilmember, I will continue using my experience in business and community involvement to create the Bellevue we deserve.

Proudly endorsed: Bellevue Mayor Lynne Robinson and the full City Council; firefighters; MLK Labor, Eastside Business Alliance, Washington Retail Association; Alliance for Gun Responsibility; Sierra Club, Planned Parenthood; and more!
