Government works best when we work together.
Pete is our advocate. He’s not just at the Seattle courthouse—Pete is in our neighborhoods listening to people and making government work for us. Whether it’s one-on-one at a local coffee shop or at a community town hall, Pete listens to the people about what matters: public safety, better transportation, and responsive public services.
As Chair of the Regional Policy Committee, Pete brings leaders from all 39 cities in King County together to tackle county-wide issues—like crime, homelessness, and creating jobs. He builds local partnerships, like building pre-apprenticeship programs in our schools. “Your commitment to the trades is outstanding. Thanks to you and your colleagues for supporting the youth of Auburn to access pre-apprenticeship pathways,” said Alan Spicciati, Auburn SD Superintendent. Pete is a strong supporter for full funding of First Responders, from police officers to firefighters, which is why uniformed personnel endorse Pete.
Pete also helped shape important community programs. He was a founding Board Member of St. Francis Hospital, and a founding Board of Director of the Auburn / Federal Way Boys and Girls Club.
When California billionaires tried to move the Seahawks out of our state, Pete stepped in by brokering a sale to Paul Allen. Former county executive Ron Sims said: “Pete von Reichbauer did a fantastic job keeping the Seahawks in Seattle. I don’t believe it would’ve happened without his intervention,” and the Seattle Times called him a “hero of the fight.” As a private citizen and public leader, Pete has supported sports at all levels ; sports brings people of all agestogether.
Pete is a common-sense leader who is accessible and listens to us. From neighborhood meetings to regional decisions, Pete von Reichbauer shows up, listens, and delivers!

With over 20 years of leadership—including a decade in elected and appointed roles—I’m running for King County Council to deliver responsible governance and a future-focused vision for District 7.
My husband and I have called South King County home for over 30 years, raising our son and volunteering across Kent, Auburn, Federal Way, and surrounding communities. I’ve worked alongside families, educators, and local leaders to strengthen neighborhoods and expand opportunities.
With eight years as a School Board Director, President, and Legislative Representative, I’ve championed balanced budgets, secured funding for state mandates, improved student outcomes, and advanced equity in public education—including oversight on the Washington State Charter School Commission. I’ve partnered with the Kent Food Bank, United Way of King County, and the Seattle Foundation to address urgent community needs for our families and have supported Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs in Auburn and Kent schools.
My professional journey includes serving with the Tacoma Housing Authority, where I streamlined operations and improved efficiency across finance, IT, property management, and rental assistance. Currently, I work as a consultant for a state agency, where I train elected officials on financial and legal responsibilities, building on my extensive executive-level experience in management and finance.
With deep community roots and broad experience across public and private sectors, I am committed to advancing transparent, accountable governance that ensures residents understand how decisions are made and how public funds are spent. As your councilmember, I will focus on driving sustainable economic growth, expanding access to education and public safety, and increasing affordable housing options for our communities.
For my service, I’ve been honored with multiple awards and supported by families, educators, and community leaders. I bring both governance experience and a deep commitment to King County – and I would be honored to earn your vote.
