GENERAL 2023
Woodinville Water District
Commissioner Position No. 5
Preeti Shridhar
12527 NE 167TH PL
WOODINVILLE, WA 98072
(206) 452-6008
I raised my family in Woodinville since 1994, and understand it is important to have safe, clean, water and affordable rates for all. I have 30-years experience in water service, starting my career at Seattle Public Utilities. I launched the Saving Water Partnership initiative and worked with Woodinville Water District to ensure safe, clean drinking water at affordable rates for working families. As Deputy Administrator to Renton’s Mayor, I negotiated contracts for the city to ensure drinking water and wastewater rates were the lowest in the region.
As your Commissioner, I will work diligently to represent your needs and make wise fiscal decisions while the District is negotiating contracts to secure water for the next 60 years.
Endorsements: Senator Manka Dhingra, KC Councilmember Sarah Perry, State Representative Bill Ramos, Assistant AG Sarah Reyneveld, Woodinville Fire & Rescue Commissioner Angela Barton, Woodinville Water District Commissioners, 45th. District Democrats, King County Democrats.
23-year Woodinville resident/local business owner for 15+ years, I've proudly sponsored Woodinville High School's Football and Theater programs, supporting our youth's development and community spirit.
During this time, I’ve closely experienced our district's evolving needs. Balancing sustainable conservation with responsible economic growth is my mission. Reflecting lessons learned through my business, I've successfully navigated these challenges while maintaining fiscal discipline and prioritizing environmentally friendly practices. My dual perspective as resident and business owner informs my approach to the Water Commissioner role, integrating insight into infrastructure, water use, and conservation. Prioritizing strategic financial decisions and thoughtful infrastructure investments, I'm committed to ensuring our Water District’s viability, while respecting our environment. I advocate for greater transparency, efficiency, community involvement, and collaboration to create a water system that reflects our shared values.
I ask for and am grateful for your vote to empower a resilient, fiscally responsible, and sustainable water system for Woodinville.
