It has been an honor and privilege to serve our community as a Commissioner with the Vashon Parks District since my appointment in 2021. For the past two years I have served as Chair of the VPD Board of Commissioners. As Chair, my focus has been on supporting the outstanding work of our Executive Director and her staff and maintaining an atmosphere of collegiality and cooperation at Board meetings. I have focused my energies on the Tramp Harbor Dock project and on updating the districts strategic plan.

I intend to remain accessible to islanders and to lend my energy and effort to seeing through the myriad of projects in the districts capital improvement plan. I am proud of the work the district does and the opportunities it affords to islanders and visitors alike. And yet the work continues, so it’s time to roll up our sleeves and get to it.
