Healthy Communities, Better Outcomes.

I seek re-election to continue to build healthy community relationships across diverse communities in our Hospital District. I want to serve everyone with respect and honesty. As an Advocate I will be the Voice committed to work hard to make our community a healthy place to live and heal. A healthy community is engaged and supports environment for All to grow and flourish. Most community and hospitals are English only. Many don't know how to respond or perform outreach to rural areas. I will work to address cultural competency and understanding one's culture way of life, beliefs, and traditions. We need to invest in providers education and training able to serve and deliver quality health services, address complex needs, regardless of language, race, gender, and socioeconomic background. I will work to establish transparency and healthy budget for the district. I ask for your support. 

I have dedicated most of my life to serving our community and helping others, as demonstrated by 33 years of service as a volunteer Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician and through my employment at the hospital. I focus special efforts on helping our aging population, people with intellectual and developmental challenges, and physical challenges.

I spent 30 years as an executive in the high-tech industry, and 17 years as a Fire Commissioner. I have the experience and business knowledge needed to guide the hospital.

I’m in our community responding to medical emergencies and in the hospital, caring for patients, daily. I’m in constant touch with our community members and understand the challenges we all face with our healthcare system, providing me the unique opportunity to drive needed change.
