Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Masters in Business Administration, Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
Occupation: Commissioner King County Fire District 34 since January 2020
Statement:

My goal as Fire Commissioner is to assure that the district makes effective use of taxpayer resources in providing highly functional facilities and equipment for our professional firefighters and emergency responders; enabling them to provide the district with outstanding levels of emergency services.   This is a dynamic  time for Fire District 34. We successfully completed negotiations for new multi-year emergency services agreement with the City of Redmond and continue to work on improving the functionality of that critical relationship.

I  had a career of over 40 years in the electrical power  equipment industry. I was employed by Westinghouse and Eaton Electric, working with major clients in the process and data management industries to ensure that critical power needs were met.  My prior experience as fire commissioner and my career background in industry provides me with a solid foundation for the duties of Fire Commissioner.

I respectfully ask for your vote.

Occupation: Elected Democratic Precinct Committee Officer, Eastridge precinct
Statement:

In a world that’s rapidly changing, times call for new leaders to step up and push for policies and ideas that help make our communities a better place for everyone. With your vote, I would like to be that force for change.

If elected, some of the policies I will fight for include working to facilitate more outreach between the fire departments and the communites they serve, advocate for better equipment, pay, and other benefits for our firefighters and other first responders, and invest more resources towards fire prevention solutions to fight the threats to our neighborhoods brought by climate change.

I’m endorsed by State Senator Patty Kuderer, as well as by the King County and 45th District Democrats. My motivation for running for this office is simple and straightforward: to help better the community I’m proud to call home. I would be honored to earn your vote.
