Judge Joe Campagna has served as a judge in the King County District Court since 2019. In that time, he helped create the Shoreline Community Court, which connects people facing charges of low-level non-violent offenses with housing, addiction and mental health treatment, and employment resources, keeping our community safer by helping people break the cycle of jail, addiction, and homelessness. This program also takes some of the burden off law enforcement and other first responders. Judge Campagna is recognized as a leader in the judiciary and currently serves as the Presiding Judge of the court’s West Division, which includes both Shoreline and Seattle. He is rated by the attorneys who appear before him as one of the top judges in King County. Prior to becoming a judge, he was a trial attorney handling both criminal and civil cases.

Judge Campagna believes in treating everyone with respect and is known for his calm, patient demeanor. If re-elected, he will continue to use his experience, energy, and broad community support to improve the court for everyone.
