Scope of Review: A forest practice permit is required for the removal of 5000 board feet or more of merchantable timber. If the forest practice is being conducted as part of a residential or commercial development or as a conversion of forest land to some other use, the forest practice fees are assessed in the same manner that Clearing Permit fees are assessed, except that in most cases there would not be a permit issuance fee.
If the forest practice is being conducted under standards adopted by the Forest Practices Board, any review by DDES, such as for a Conversion Option Harvest Plan or Class IV-General non-conversion, would be assessed at the department's current hourly rate in accordance with KCC 27.10.110. |
