Statement:

“Expensive!” and “Poor customer service!”  That’s what I hear every time I bring up Covington Water District with my neighbors.  How unfortunate!  Why does Covington Water stir up bad feelings?  Why are our bills and connection charges among the most expensive in the state?  I have owned a small business selling construction & mining equipment globally for 15 years.  I know that keeping costs in line and customers happy is essential to any degree of business success.  Government success requires those same principles.  I know that Covington Water District can’t be fixed overnight, but I will work to bring costs in line to lower our bills and improve customer service to create happy neighbors.  I ask for your vote to start a positive change – and hopefully we’ll be able to afford to keep our grass green in August.

Statement:

I have been a Covington Water District (CWD) board member for 20 years now. I have a great deal of history and perspective with the District that is needed for a future of growth, regulation and challenges. I have been through many difficult and challenging times and many good and prosperous times with the district. Even though we now have enough water, managing well our future growth, rates and connections charges is more important than ever. Transparency and good stewardship for you our rate payers is a vital policy to carry forward. Please come to meetings, voice your opinion, study our budget, understand how we operate. CWD's greatest resource is our employees and CWD is a great place to work. We manage a large, complex, challenging system - wide spread geographical area very well. I look forward to you voting for me to return to CWD for another term.
